IIMs Introduce Face Matching Technology for Exam Integrity

To prevent impersonation and fraudulent proxy candidates, IIMs have implemented advanced artificial intelligence face matching technology at all test centers. When you arrive at the exam venue, a digital camera will capture your live facial image. The system will match your live face with the photograph uploaded as verified on the CAT 2026 Admit Card Live registration records.

Here is how candidates can ensure hassle-free verification:

• Keep Your Face Uncovered: Do not wear sunglasses, thick-rimmed decorative spectacles, caps, or scarves that hide your forehead or chin.
• Consistent Appearance: Ensure your facial appearance closely matches your application photograph. If you have grown or shaved a beard since submitting your form, carry additional government photo IDs.
• Biometric Fingerprinting: Alongside face matching, digital fingerprint scans will be recorded at registration desks inside the test venue.

Deployment of Mobile Jammers Across All Exam Centers

In another major security upgrade, the examination authorities are deploying high-frequency electronic mobile signal jammers across test venues. These devices block all radio frequencies (RF), mobile signals (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G), Wi-Fi bands, and Bluetooth connections inside testing halls.

This measure ensures that no candidate can use hidden spy cameras, wireless earphones, or micro-transmitters. Test centers will also feature 360-degree CCTV video recording throughout the exam duration. Any candidate attempting to carry prohibited electronic gadgets will face immediate disqualification and a permanent ban from future IIM entrance tests.

Real-Life Example: Why the Official Mock Test Matters

Let us see how taking the official mock test helps candidates while checking the CAT 2026 Admit Card Live portal.

Candidate Priya felt anxious about managing the digital timer and using the on-screen virtual calculator. When the official mock test went live on November 6, she took it immediately on her laptop. She learned how to switch question palettes, mark questions for review, and calculate values quickly. On exam day, she navigated the screen smoothly without wasting a single second.

Candidate Rahul skipped the mock test. During the actual test, he struggled to clear marked options and lost 8 valuable minutes figuring out the keypad. Taking the official mock test ensures total confidence on exam day.
