About NIT Meghalaya
National Institute of Technology Meghalaya (NIT Meghalaya), established in 2010 under the NIT Act, is an Institute of National Importance funded and governed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Currently operating from its temporary campus in Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya, NIT Meghalaya is developing its permanent 300-acre campus in Cherrapunjee (Sohra). Recognised by AICTE, UGC, and NBA, NIT Meghalaya is one of India’s 31 NITs offering quality technical education to the North-East.
