Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal (MANIT Bhopal / NIT Bhopal), established in 1960, is an Institute of National Importance fully sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Located on a 650-acre campus in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh — the “City of Lakes.” Named after Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, India’s first Education Minister. Became NIT in 2002, designated Institute of National Importance under NIT Act 2007. Granted Deemed University status in 2022 by MoE. Approved by AICTE. Recognised by UGC.
