Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology Nagpur (VNIT Nagpur), established in 1960 as Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering, is an Institute of National Importance designated under the NIT Act. Located on a 215-acre urban campus in Nagpur, Maharashtra — the geographic centre of India and the “Orange City.” Named after Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya, India’s legendary engineer.
