About K.L.S. Vishwanathrao Deshpande Institute of Technology
KLS Vishwanathrao Deshpande Institute of Technology (KLS VDIT), also known as VDIT Haliyal, was established in 2004-05 by Karnataka Law Society (KLS) under the initiative and support of Shri R.V. Deshpande, former Minister of Government of Karnataka. Located in Haliyal, Uttara Kannada District, Karnataka, the 26-acre campus is affiliated to VTU Belagavi and approved by AICTE. Within a short span, VDIT developed excellent infrastructure and academic facilities to serve rural North Karnataka.
VDIT offers B.E. in 4 specializations, M.Tech in multiple disciplines, and PhD programmes — total seat capacity 546. Campus is eco-friendly with friendly, encouraging faculty.
