About Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru Institute of Technology
Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru Institute of Technology (STJIT), popularly known as STJ Institute of Technology, was established in 1980 by Sri Taralabalu Jagadguru Brihanmath — a religious organisation well known in Karnataka for its service in rural education. The trust manages over 172 educational institutions across Karnataka, from nursery to engineering level.
STJIT is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi. The college is located on Pune-Bangalore National Highway (NH-4), Ranebennur, Haveri District, Karnataka. The campus extends over 52 acres of green, peaceful land on the outskirts of Ranebennur, specially chosen to keep students away from city distractions.
STJIT offers B.E. programmes in 6 core branches, M.Tech in 4 specialisations, and MBA. Total seat intake is 516. The college provides a library, boys and girls hostels, cafeteria, sports facilities, NSS, and a dedicated Training and Placement Cell.

Admission Process
